A mobile home does not use the same air conditioner as the house next door. Most have a downflow package unit, a tight closet, and duct under the floor. We repair those systems instead of pricing them like a standard split.
Manufactured homes around the valley — from older parks to newer land-lease communities — usually have one packaged air conditioner that heats and cools. The blower sits over the duct in the belly of the home. If that duct has come loose or the belly insulation is open, a new compressor will not fix the rooms.
We look at the unit you have: the control board, capacitor, blower, and the duct underneath. Skirting and a low cabinet change how the job is done. If someone bid a full split-system changeout without crawling the duct, get that checked before you sign.
