AC Maintenance
We don't do the $49 tune-up. That price gets a company in the door so you can be an upsell. We do quality maintenance at a fair price: both units opened, the readings taken, and a repair only if something has actually failed.
A $49 tune-up is not maintenance. You are paying a company for the chance to sell you parts you do not need, or a new system while yours is still running. We don't do that.
You pay a fair price for a real visit. We open the outdoor unit and the indoor unit and check the capacitor, contactor, drain, coils, refrigerant pressures, blower, filter, and airflow. The work is there to keep the system you have running.
If a part has failed, that repair is priced before any work starts. If the system is doing its job, we leave it. Cooling maintenance is the spring visit. Heating gets its own check in the fall. Both can go on a schedule through Colton’s Comfort Club.
What we look for
- Capacitor and contactor condition, with the readings
- Condensate drain before it overflows
- Coils loaded with desert dust
- Refrigerant pressures and the temperature split
- Blower, filter, and airflow
- Thermostat calling for the right mode
